Tutorial on “Greg!”
I couldn't really find the appropriate section to fit this under, so I submitted it thusly ... a little "insight" on how I do Greg :)

What I didn’t write in the example…

I first start off with a quick, funny, sad, happy, or meaning idea and then draw it out with a pencil, 2HB lead, preferably.

Then, I start to ink the borders from left to right, careful not to smear. My pens will remain secretive.

After the borders, I begin to ink the characters.

I let the ink dry for a few minutes before erasing all of the pencil lines.

After the ink dries, I scan the image and open it up in MS Paint and erase any blemishes that I can find on the white surface.

NOTE: I set the size, length and width, of the drawing using my scanner settings.

I finally start to color the pictures using Adobe Photoshop and Paintshop Pro, figuring out what colors to use.

After adding all of the finishing touches to the artwork, I save it and open it up in Paintshop Pro to letter it.

NOTE: All this while I am constantly saving it as a TIFF file, not a JPEG file.

After lettering the word balloons and thought bubbles, I save it as a JPEG file and then re-open it in Adobe Photoshop and despeckle it.

I then save it one last time.
---------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------- ----------------------------
Supplies I use:
Almost any kind of pencil, usually lately 2HB Penways
Pens are secretive
I use white cardstock from Georgia-Pacific; it’s got a great smooth surface that is not as harsh as Bristol board
A multitude of erasers, white-out, scissors, tape, and staple-gun, wood-burning stove, hammer and nails, tearing devices
I draw on my desk sometimes or on my floating drawing board
MS Paint, Adobe Photoshop, Paintshop Pro, other computer programs
All this and all the luck that a po’ boy can get workin’ fo’ tha’ man ;)
